Art lovers crammed into the intimate space of the LF8 store in the East Village last Thursday night to see Martyn Thompson's impressive collection of tapestries called Cezanne's Shadow. The work honors the aesthetic allure of post impressionist painting, focusing on themes of love and nature. The collection maintains an old-style, tactile atmospheric quality, while also existing as a contemporary, digital creation.
