Flash Fiction: Mother

Hiding in the orchard
closed eyes,
her body is a cage.
Mother, is not of noble birth.
In frosted glass
there are two bags, three glasses
and a cheaters guide to love
with neither pencil nor pen.
If a storm comes, the cage
is one gust away from falling
at the seams.
