Szilveszter Mako

About the Artist:

Szilveszter Mako is a Hungarian born photographer who came to Milan, Italy as a result of his passion for Renaissance style art. Szilveszter prioritizes sustainability; using recycled material and natural light sources. Szilveszter edits his photos like he is creating a painting.

Szilveszter Mako has worked with numerous magazines all over Europe and Asia, and is involved in all aspects of the photographic process including production and styling. Szilveszter is inspired by a wide range of art including: Italian art, Dadaism, and Bauhaus. He prefers a melancholy aesthetic and utilizes asymmetrical form to take one out of the realm of the mundane.

About the Project:

For this weekend portfolio I chose photos by Szilveszter that combine objects and people. This innovative and lurid style of photography is lurid and uncanny. Szilveszter has a fantastic ability to capture the essence of objects and people.
