IN THIS ISSUE

Musée’s 19th edition explores the convoluted system of “Power”. Never before seen photos of Hitler reveal the makings of an intentionally cultivated personality. Photos of Hitler practicing his oratory skills, which he requested the film be destroyed, were handed over to us and unveil the power of photography and the photographer.

In this issue, we delve into Platon’s enlightening interpretation of Power, and feature the works of Martin Schoeller, Pieter Hugo, and Carey Young. We also examine the work of Jehad Nga, and gain a deeper understanding of power reflected in the failed state of Libya. In our contemporary era of social movements and #MeToo, we investigate the corruption and integrity power can simultaneously wield. As much as it is an illusion, power governs the inner workings of each of our realities. Also featured in this issue are: Andreas Gursky, Kyle Cassidy, Emma Amos, Deborah Roberts, Markus Brunetti, Chantal Fabres and others.
