Musée Magazine embraces the wonderful hope that every picture stimulates an interpretation. This column is our tip of the hat to that concept, with a fictionalized text we’ve written to accompany a selected photograph.

When nature is your playground, fun is everywhere. Keep your eyes open, and you’ll find keys to churches all over the face of this earth. There are rocks to skip, treasures to collect, and walks to take. Touch your palm to a rough branch, smell the wind, observe, and listen to life.

My father taught me that. He never bought anything he could find in nature. He’d stretch against a tree, paint with berries, and whittle a pipe out of the right stick. He showed me how to live a life amongst other living things, and I miss him every day.
