This photo is one of the first ones in my most significant series to date, “Pieza Madre” (Mother piece, 2022). It is also the most representative, having become the symbol of all of them. This series has had the greatest impact on my career and my life; it marked a before and after in my style and in the way I approach photography. It has also set the path I want to follow, focusing more on the artistic and poetic aspects. It opened doors for me to express feelings, thoughts, and concerns, but this time in an external context, in various locations, creating large-scale still lifes. “Mother piece" is dedicated to my mother, who passed away suddenly in 2022, and it's my way of grieving, my way of paying tribute to the person I have loved and will always love the most.
