I was photographing a Vows article for NYT where they profile a wedding that has an interesting story somewhere in the world. The wedding party was very small. Like 4 or 5 people including grandma and grandpa so when it started raining they decided to go up to the grandparents house instead of the beach. And OMG it was like hitting a 80's american-italian time warp. The most amazing house and people that have not changed in decades. I fell in love with grandma and grandpa and completely forgot about the wedding party that I was supposed to be photographing. This is grandpa sitting in his rose gold mirrored sun room with his wife Grace reflected one side of the mirror and the newlyweds on the other side.
