The beauty and wonder that this planet is filled with are genuinely unparalleled, from the bio-luminescent algae that crash onto Tasmanian beaches to the Indigo milk cap mushrooms that cover the ground in the Amazonian Rain Forest and the multi-colored coral that blooms from Flordia to Australia. Our earth is not just a home; it's a masterpiece. It's precious and must be protected. Even with the rapid development within the Human Race, it is crucial that we mend and nurture the planet we reside in because development means nothing with no place to call home. Earth Day is a global event celebrated annually on April 22 to encourage environmental protection. This celebratory day first began in the 1970s, and for 2024, the theme is Planet vs Plastics.
