Two years ago, while living in San Francisco, I would frequently visit my family in San Jose. I had just arrived to my parent's house from the train and greeted my mother first. As she was hugging me, she said my brother, Bryan, was in the backyard practicing his balance.  Curiously, I continued to the backyard to see what she meant. Turning the corner, I saw Bryan in a bath robe, balancing on a ladder that was vertical due to the pull of his own weight. It seemed so strange and with my camera already around my neck, I immediately shot a few pictures before he could notice me. Some of my most valued inspiration for photography comes from my family and capturing random moments that arise- like this photo of my brother who was just practicing his balance for fun.
