Bizzoni gained recognition for a photography series titled Inhabit the Artificial Landscape, a project born out of her longing to see the stars in European cities full of light pollution. Eventually, this project expanded into what she calls Electric Sun, which seeks to create alternative realities, and reimagine contemporary sources of sunlight. Collecting light from manmade objects such as food markets or urban design, she gathers energy from the technosphere, obscuring the line between the artificial and the natural. Using the colors provided by light exposure, Bizzoni conveys the boundless energy and space taken up by artificial objects; similar to an aura, she captures the restorative, vibrant nature of electric light.

“The project sees the electric sources as the fuel for new rituals… Playing with reality and staged photography, the luminous phenomena become something to hunt and observe like a tourist watching the Aurora.”
