Ward Bennett's 100th Birthday - Herman Miller Showroom

On November 17, the Herman Miller Showroom celebrated what would have been Designer Ward Bennett's 100th birthday. The event featured work and designs from Bennett's archives as well as celebrating the first ever monograph on the designer.

Ward Bennett's career involved different mediums of design focusing on sculptures and furniture. Bennett created many ceramic sculptures but he was most noted for his chair design. Over the span of his working career Bennett made over 100 different chair designs but was recognized for his design of the "University Chair".  

The event was very successful and had many people come in to pay their respect to Bennett and admire his work.
