Jessica needed a cigarette. It was her first night waitressing at the Gentlemen’s Club down the block, and Jessica had never smoked in her life. But, she knew she needed nicotine after only two hours into her first shift. She bummed a cig from one of the other girls, but she didn’t have a lighter.

Jessica took a deep breath and made a decision she didn’t want to make. From out of her purse, she fetched her prized possession: a matchbox from the Playboy Club in Hong Kong, inexplicably found in a consignment shop on 1st Ave.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.
