In Barcelona, it was 13:00, and Sabah was crying. She had risen early, and it was almost approaching the time for her second nap. But, after lasting through hours of needless fussing, Sabah’s mother needed a change of pace. So, she buckled Sabah’s shoes, and took her to see her best friends.

The Spanish pigeons swarmed Plaça de Catalunya, and followed around a man with the seeds. Her mother carried Sabah into the scuffle, and watched her expression change. Sabah pointed at the birds and giggled.

Her mother sighed in relief, then wondered, “How long before she passes out?”
