You never know what you’ll see when you’re traveling. I had gotten used to walking amongst cattle and street vendors, and stray dogs. I always tried to find the water. In Varanasi, India, the water is sacred.
There were young boys playing in the sand, older men playing a game on the rocks, and still, there were cattle. I watched a man fling his body into the river as an Ox watched on, like it was his parental guardian.
You never know what you’ll see when you’re traveling. And that’s why I bring my camera everywhere. To remember what the brain may forget.
