Musée Magazine embraces the wonderful hope that every picture stimulates an interpretation. This column is our tip of the hat to that concept, with a fictionalized text we’ve written to accompany a selected photograph.

Junior had begged to accompany Dad today, and Dad didn’t know how to refuse. With glee, he ran up to his room to pack a bag. When he came down, his father cracked a smile at the outfit and the hat, which bore a remarkable similarity to his father’s.

Now,  they were waiting for the bus, watching the dust roll with the wind. Junior followed his father’s even minuscule movements—from each turn of his head to the way he tapped his fingers on his jeans.

They didn’t say anything, just sat there in agreeable silence. But both hearts were warm with love.
