I had been driving for 12 hours. And I wasn’t sure where I was, or where I was going. I just knew that I couldn’t stop.
A bucket of chicken wings on my passenger’s seat served as my breakfast, lunch, mid-day snack, and soon-to-be dinner.
Then came a bridge—a beautiful one, over a valley forest. And with no recognizable landmark before or behind me, I felt the impulse to swerve off course. How bad could that be? To stop it all right now when my eyes are feasting on the scenery.
Instead, I grabbed another chicken wing. I was probably just hungry.
