Gerald Slota opened his exhibition in the Ricco Maresca Gallery and will continue showing his works through December 14th.
Sloter is showing his new collection entitled Story. His work shows a disjoined schizophrenic look at cities and landscapes. His portraits are ghost-like shadows, will-o-wisps and blurred jigsaw faces. Looking at some of the pictures the mind attempts to piece together some semblance of our accepted reality, a reality is simply not there, deliberately. Not all of the work is haunting, some, particularly the landscapes, are geometric and easier to accept.
