Flash Fiction: Dream Job
Written by Ann Catherine Hughes
This is so exciting. After months of working for minimum wage at a dead-end job I have finally scored an interview for my dream position. Things can only get better from here.
I can actually make a better living. I can move out of this dingy apartment and rent one uptown without roommates! I can adopt the Shiba Inu that I always wanted. I can afford to pay off my student debt!
Wow, I look like a mess. Good thing I have an hour before the interview. Maybe I’ll even stop for coffee on my way there. I have all the time in the world.
But wait, I just remembered something. It’s daylight-saving time.
…and I forgot to set my clock an hour ahead.
