About the artist: Harrison Miller lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he grew up. He is a poet, photographer, and designer who self-publishes his work through his imprint Underlife Editions, with collaborator Emiliano Zúñiga Hernández.
About the project: Within these Last Days of Frost
The prints here are from my archive of pictures made throughout the winter months in Tennessee and Michigan. Within these Last Days of Frost is a working title for this body of work. It’s a tribute to my half-brother, who died last January from Leukemia, as well as to the winter landscape. It has always been a season that inspires me, as it stands in contrast to our long, lush summers in Tennessee.
