About the artist: Chris studied Fine Art and Graphical Communication. He has worked in advertising and marketing for many years for ad agencies, broadcasting, and in games. His artistic practice has explored drawing, time based art, photography, and now Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a means of expressing his ideas.
About the project: Goddess of the Desert
What fascinates me about using AI to create imagery is the freedom. I am limited only by my imagination. There are no budget or material constraints. However, with AI it is also abundantly clear that ideas and vision are important. I am faced with a magical box that can do many amazing things, but without my human mind for guidance it is just a closed black box, much like a camera.
With this series I wanted to create some images that I knew would be impossible for me to capture straight from a camera. The woman wearing elaborate clothing sitting in an ornate chair is juxtaposed with the barren desert to make the woman seem to be powerful, alluring and mysterious. A Goddess of the desert.
