This is an image made for the 'Paris grandiose' series in which I'm documenting moments that I encounter every day, walking around the French capital with a realistic and ironic point of view. The intention of 'Paris grandiose' is to alleviate in some way the load that suffocates the living city, giving presence to the objects and circumstances that inhabit the corners of the city of lights and also, to admire the subtle, humorous, and emblematic elements in the surroundings. Just a reminder that Paris is a diverse, integral, and growing city that sometimes remains hidden from our sight. Recently, I self-published a zine about the series. For the ones who are interested, you can reach me out on Instagram for a copy.

Technically speaking this is a photo made with a Contax T2 (Point-n-Shoot camera), on Kodak Portra 400. This photo was taken in May, 2020 and France was still in lockdown due to COVID-19. I was on the street doing my groceries when I heard a strange squeaking. I immediately started walking towards the direction of the noise without knowing what exactly it was. When I arrived, I found this moment.
