Travel: The Himba People

In Angola and the Kunene Region of northern Namibia, the indigenous Himba (singular: OmuHimba, plural: OvaHimba) people thrive with a population of about 50,000. The OvaHimba are a pastoralist people, meaning they tend to livestock, and are considered the last nomadic people of Namibia. Our friend Sue Chalom paid the OvaHimba a visit on her trip to Africa, and the photos below really capture the uniqueness and vitality of this native tribe.
