I get there early each year to photograph the horses in the water and the setting up of the races. For this particular shot, I found the background perfect.
Nothing compares to the feeling of humid air striking your face as you step outside, or the tinge of salt on your skin after that first dip in the sea-it can’t help but bring a smile to us all.
For this photo, I saw the moment and wanted to see if my 50mm would compress the image enough to close the distance between the two people and in essence join them together in the photo. It seemed to work.
