This series takes place in my grandparents' vacant home, years after their passing. Their home was filled with a variety of collectibles, tools, books, and so much more that had piled up over the years. Once they had passed, I saw the opportunity to sift through it all. I started out by documenting what was left, but as time went on I started to weave my own narrative with what I found.

I created this image in their basement surrounded by all my grandfathers tools. I have vivid memories of exploring down there as a child and not knowing what I would find among the dark energy. At first glance you see a pile of clutter caked in dust, but then the knife sticks out ominously.
