The temporary room is a work in my first project, and recording it is a natural reaction of the body, because I am a young worker in Shanghai, living in a rented house. In a sense, this room brings me the sense of security of a temporary home. However, when I shoot "Shanghai Scenery" in 2020, I have been thinking about the impact of urban development on the environment and the future living space of human beings. Therefore, after walking into the empty room waiting for demolition, I saw the newly built tall buildings outside the window and the room I was in, which made me feel a little sad in my heart. As the young generation of China's post-90s, there are too many people busy with their livelihood just to have a house of their own in the big cities. However, all of them are victims of this era and this country's economy!
