You gotta break them in, your family. It takes a while, to re-orient people's instincts when they see a camera come out. Candor is not for the vain, and my family has been super patient and super willing. My favourite time, then, is to have out my camera with the ones I love. To rely on the intimacy and the trust and find emotion that's real and honest and revealing.

This is my sister and my niece. I'd been keeping my eye on them because they're both very alive people. Unblushing - which makes me want to watch them more.
