After being together for forty years, a couple might grow tired of each other. But as the days go by–even after almost 15,000 of them–I only find myself more intoxicated with Susan.

Susan is both constant and completely unpredictable. She breathes fire and dances in the air, and cooks a mean lasagna.

I wait for her on our bed, naked and ready; and when she walks in, I can tell from the sound of her kissing thighs that she is too.

She whispers, “I bought a new friend,” and nods toward her hand. My eyes trail down, and I grin.
