6 Questions with: Arne Svenson [VIDEO]

Musée Magazine is excited to announce a brand new video series…6 QUESTIONS WITH. Born out of our time of isolation, but as intimate as sitting across from a friend; we have asked some of our incredible artists from our latest issue to film themselves answering 6 QUESTIONS that we provide. Ranging from the motivation and execution of their work, to what may inspire their incredible genius, we encourage you to sit back and let these videos transport you into the mind of some of today’s most influential and exciting photographers.

The first installment of this exciting new series features the always provocative ARNE SVENSON. A fine arts photographer living in New York City, Svenson is well known for his black-and-white portraits of sock monkeys in the private collection of Ron Warren, who amassed over 1,800 of the handmade figures. About his work, Svenson says “…I demand a lot from my viewer…I need a framework of reality that I can hang my stories off of…that I can hang my imagery off of…”

So, join Musée on this new journey of exploration, as we seek to uncover what makes these incredible artists tick.

And of course, for more information on Arne Svenson, please see Musée Magazine No.23 Choices, now available at the Musée Magazine shop.
