I.D. Photo Badge Portraiture at RICCO/MARESCA GALLERY

I.D. Photo Badge Portraiture at RICCO/MARESCA GALLERY is a collection of 250 vintage identification badges manufactured between the 1930s and 1950s. It functions as a portrait exhibition; a spectacle of faces featuring the American workforce from a much different era of this young country. The badges are informational about the subject, providing names, companies and job titles, but allows the viewer to dive deep, on their own terms, into challenging ideas of personal identity, class and gender.

The exhibition runs from Jan 24 – Feb 15, 2014
