Mike Magers: Osaka

I found when I had the time to shoot on the street, I kept coming back to this idea of distance. Not so much a sense of loneliness as a traveler or anything like that, more a strong perception of how closed a society Japan can be, and how much of a stranger I was. That theme really pervaded a lot of what I shot. Osaka3





- - - Mike Magers is an emerging photographer who documents his frequent travels, which will be featured in Musée's new travel section. Magers originally studied photography at ICP under the tutelage of Musée founder and Editor-In-Chief Andrea Blanch.
