Another one of the highlights of my month long journey to New Zealand was the Heli ride above Milford Sound in New Zealands South Island. From Queenstown, a lively resort town situated in the mountains on Lake Wakatip,offering every adventure sport imaginable...I chose the Heli ride above Milford Sound. After my first trip was cancelled due to weather, fortunately my next option turned out to be the most pristine day.
Magnificent views of fjordland, with turquoise icefalls, glaciers, winding valleys , waterfalls and jagged mountain peaks.. The glacier landing on Mt. Tutoko glacier was by far the most exciting , you felt as if you were on a spy mission..air so clear, with open , majestic views...made my crowded, concrete life back home seem so limited.
