MUSÉE 29 – EVOLUTION

Evolution explores the concepts of progress, transformation, growth, and advancement in an age when images are taking a dramatic shift in the role they play in our lives.

Meghan Boody surreal work is literary and narrative. Looking at her landscapes, sculptures and photographs is part fantasy, part seven work novel.

Museé was lucky enough to have our friend Steve Miller visit Meghan's house and studio to talk with the artist about her work. As you can imagine, Meghan's house is as much a fantasy wonderland of weird kitch as her work is. It seems her life blends seamlessly with her art; she is part of her own narrative. As she speaks next to a statue of herself as a child, encased in a box being crawled over by white mice it's easy to see Boody as a kind of author surrogate, a deus ex machina in her own epic poem.
