Family photography has marked the history of photography as the SLR camera and the 35mm reel became common consumer items. Four American photographers have made it the matrix of their work, between long-term documentary reporting, daily chronicle and bittersweet fable. Their names: Shelby Lee Adams, Peggy Levison Nolan, Meryl Meisler & Marianna Rothen. The “American Families” exhibition brings them together, from March 22 to May 25, on the walls of the gallery, happy to include them among the artists represented.
