Images and Text by Tom Butler

Stones/Figures/Spiders are self-portraits created using a tripod-mounted DSLR camera and remote shutter release. In these series I attempt to reduce myself to a singular form, revealing only my blankest features, such the top of my head. Instead of presenting myself in a recognisable way, I appear concealed, ambiguous or even monstrous.

All portrait images are 4 x 6 inches printed area.

All square images are 5 x 5 inches printed area.
