Woman Crush Wednesday: Egle Ellerman
Interview by Anna Robertson
How do you capture the sensuality present in your photographs?
I try to listen to my inner impulses (if it's a selfie). With models, I ask them to just move, slowly, as it's nice and comfortable for them. Each has its own sensuality, for this it is not necessary to be naked, and it is such a thrill to watch and shoot this.
Tell me the story of How I Miss My Boy. What was your process with the narrative?
When I start to shoot, I already have a certain mood and gamma of feelings.
That day I was madly in love.
The model stands in the shots surrounded by plants, sculptures, a flamingo…what do these symbolic images mean?
I generally can be traced oral obsession. And I adore when my models are aware of that and join.
Plants are insanely erotic is a fact.
Flamingo is tenderness.
And the hardness of marble is an obvious allegory.
Sweet Miriam entered the role very well and conveyed everything from excitement to deep melancholy. It's how being in love in 5 minutes.
