People
"People" is a never ending project. Every time I go out with a camera, something new comes up. There's always a new story around the corner. For some reason, the stories that touch me the most are the ones of lonely people. I try to portrait them at some distance, or at least on the corners of the photos, in a way they almost never occupy a huge portion of the image. I feel like emptiness is an effective way to express loneliness. In the course of time, because of the theme loneliness, “People” took an inevitable political aspect. It led me to connect with many different worlds. Most people I portray nowadays are illegal immigrants and/or transsexual. People who struggle everyday, specially at such dark times like the days we’re facing.
