Project: Minor Mythology
MINOR MYTHOLOGY is an ongoing series with beginnings in the year 2016. It consists of bright, colorful images featuring portraits or figural fragments of encounters that were, in one way or another, willing to share and explore their intimacy via the photographic medium.
These persons perhaps do struggle unemployment, endure drug rehab, got recently divorced or ponder their age, I am not sure ... What they were willing to share were mere visual shards hinting at the hidden, coherent narrative. The images thus become petite parables, assembled from the cabinet of their visual memory wrapped into the cellophane of an ancient language. What I am, however confident about is, they too yearn to rearrange the ubiquitous and average identity into something none of us can live without.
These petite colorful images should not debate the buried matters nor raise anguish. They don't aspire to be anything but a somewhat shallow, colorful celebration of peoples presence and their minor, albeit fundamental mythology.
