"Lauren Withrow's work often exists as a combination of reality and fantasy, existing between both. Using a documentary style approach, even the whimsical side of her work examines a character as if it existed in reality.

Withrow's work focuses mainly on circumstances she places herself within, imagining a frame and finding the moments when the events line up as she saw them. Themes of absolute solitude combined with intimacy of subjects form a juxtaposition that represents the constant feelings of both in her personal life.

Currently based in Texas, Withrow's work is currently documenting the area she grew up in, capturing daily life and moments of simplicity. "
