Last week, the town of Charlottesville, Virginia experienced a flash of culture shock—hundreds of artists, photographers and art lovers descended on the historic downtown for a one-week celebration of all things photography.

The festival included multiple exhibitions, community events and artist talks from seven of the eleven featured photographers. Strolling the streets of Charlottesville, festival-goers could find exhibitions featuring Nick Brandt, Graciela Iturbide, Christopher Morris, Frans Lanting, Olivia Bee, Sheila Pree Bright, Mary F. Calvery, Bihn Dahn, Doug DuBois, Joe Riis and Radcliffe “Ruddy” Roye.
