The Democratic Forest - Selected Works is the most recent publication of the renowned photographer William Eggleston. The Strand organized a rare book signing on October 26th, with a maximum of three books per person, where Eggleston quietly sat down to sign for two hours.

It was only permitted to bring the newest collections: The Democratic Forest: Selected Works (co-published with David Zwirner Books) volume boxed set edition published by Steidl, as well as the monograph with the same title, and other books from Steidl: Los Alamos Revisited, Before Color, and Fom Black and White to Color. The third floor of The Strand was packed with people and all of the monographs were sold out before 6pm. Although there was still a line five minutes before 6 PM, Eggleston left the table.

An exhibition with the same title opened the next day at David Zwirner Gallery, and will be on view until December 17th.
