Oct 26 The 25th Annual Auction, Take Home A Nude

Drinks were flowing during New York Academy of Arts' 25th annual auction, Take Home A Nude, which quickly turned from auction to party. The packed event took place on October 24th at the Sotheby's Auction House, honoring Andy Warhol's former muse, Jane Holzer. Holzer could barely make it through the entrance before interviewers and guests flocked to her with questions and praise.

Take Home A Nude, featured works from famous artists, but not limited to, Nicole Eisenman, Marina Abramovic, Nan Goldin, Patrick Demarchelier, and David Kratz, whose work gained traction throughout the night. Celebrity and board member, Brooke Shields, even started bidding online before the auction even took place, but faced off with art and fashion figures during the bidding war, along with Naomi Watts, Cynthia Rowley, Glen O'Brien, and Brandon Maxwell.

All proceeds raised at the auction benefitted the nonprofit art school's public programming and scholarship funds. As for the guests, they completed the evening with special tequila drinks, appropriately named, "The Nudie."
