Virgo (Aug 23 - Sep 22)
Virgo: Happy Birthday Virgo! Off the heels of such a sweet New Moon in your sign on August 30thin which a stellium, or big gathering of the planets, are concentrated in your realm, I think you really begin September on a high. So much energy in your first house really confirms your identity, your direction, makes you feel very alive and capable of achieving whatever you want. You’re infused with more power and visibility than usual, let’s say. You might feel the need to serve someone at this time, because it’s in your nature, and with so much energy in the house of self, you’ll naturally lean towards balancing it out with the house of others, so it could also be a really lovely time to spend with someone who deeply appreciates you, and upon whom you can bestow a lot of your time and focus, too. Then the planets slowly slip from your sign into Libra and put a lot of focus on your earnings for September, as well as the depths of your feelings. You’ll be focused on your security, but also in securing those feelings that are important to you, such as with a partner. Then on September 14ththere will be a Full Moon, a tricky one, no doubt, in your opposite sign of Pisces at 21 degrees, and so most of all affecting those later born Virgos of mid-September or those who have a rising sign of Virgo around 21 degrees. This Full Moon is exactly aligned with Neptune, and throws a huge amount of rosy light on the face of your partner; they’re your ideal, your paragon, your idol—there’s an amazing amount of trust and abandonment that goes with such an aspect, yet it is a stressed aspect as well, impulsive, not so grounded. Could it be dangerous to express your love with so much idealism projected onto a partner, I don’t know. The Full Moon and Neptune are opposite Mars in your house of self, and the opposition is pressed from both sides into a T-square, with Jupiter at the apex, but deep down in a house that has to do with your core self. So, there’s a question here of what your identity, your thrust of self, what really makes up yourself, is getting out of a relationship. You may feel torn between something dissolving, overly immersive, and absorbing in your intimate relationship, and a desire to define yourself firmly. You may feel also that you have to prove yourself, act the embodiment of your sex, as Mars presses people to do, show a lot of bravado, perhaps, for how overwhelmingly huge and elusively fulfilling and mysterious the idea of an other really is. You’re seeing yourself through a very poignant light, at this time, but it puts pressure on your heart. You’re anxious you won’t fulfill a lover’s expectations. Yet Jupiter suggests such a wealth of inner potential, so much in yourself that is good and transformative and expansive that you have to share, that roots you, you alone. Then finally there’s a very aloof, peace-oriented, stand-alone New Moon towards month’s end, on September 28th, at 5 degrees Libra, for you hitting that house of personal security, and let’s just say by month’s end you feel the need to quietly count your chickens. After all, Virgo is a sign of materialism, progress, activity, and service; you want to feel useful, but you really need to feel integrated, secure, and self-caring to glean the great potential for happiness in this sign, and being prone to mental stress, it won’t hurt you to go over how much you’ve done, what you’ve supported yourself with, and what a lot you still want to achieve.
