Today is the 1st Anniversary of the destruction of the Island Of Puerto Rico and several other Caribbean Islands by Hurricane Maria. We were so poorly treated by the United States of America, we still are. Now even more so with the confirmed death count which is, now considered fake news by our current president. A death count of 2,975 almost double compared to hurricane Katrina’s 1,833. I never try not to hate or dispise anybody but, denying the truth, cover it up and leave poor human beings like my dear family suffer, endured such conditions for months and even throw paper towels at my fellow Americans, it is beyond unforgivable. There is a place in hell for human beings of such despicable acts. A place that not all the money in the world, buys your way out of it.

A week from today will be showing my series Puerto Rico: Paradise Ruined at the Filter Photo Festival in Chicago . I was able to tell that to my mother today and she was so happy and know, she was proud too. Her resilience even now, as she struggles with her health, is what has made  me persevered in my most darkest days.

Much love to my Puerto Rico and my family .
We will prevail with resilience .
