When seeking subtleties, I gravitate towards the strange, awkward, and things left behind. I see so many signs and symbols in the city that are generic displays of metropolitan life; I am almost desensitized towards them, but it's the ones that are more slight and less overused draw me in the most. The phrase “Go Nowhere in Manhattan” starts a whole dialogue and narrative in my mind; I picture myself going on this endless adventure. A simple phrase on a wall or a torn up magazine on the ground are more impactful and can affect us more than what is intended to catch our attention here.
