Laurent Chéhére’s new photographs from the Flying Houses Series in Two Persons Show opened January 16, 2015 at Muriel Guépin Gallery in the Lower East Side. Laurent Chéhere, a French photographer born in 1972 in Paris, makes images of flying houses and other dwellings that are informed by his wanderings in the hidden neighborhoods of Paris and by his love of cinematic history.

In his second show in the United States, award-winning French photographer Laurent Chéhere presents 5 new iconic Flying Houses at Muriel Guépin Gallery. The charming manipulated images, part digital, part analog depict a dreamlike world where his reconstructed houses appear to float in a silvery sky. Several titles are taken from classic films, such as Who are you Polly Magoo to name just one.
