CHRISTOPHER BEANE: Orchids, Orgies and Marbles

Jim Kempler Fine Art

March 7th-April 13th, 2013

Christopher Beane is New York City based photographer and artist. Flowers always had been a passion and a great source of inspiration for the artist.

With a discerning eye for the overlooked details of the perishable,  Beane has sometimes been referred to as the "Love Child of Georgia O'Keeffe and Robert Mapplethorpe".  Having amassed an extensive archive of "botany wonder". Beane continues to explore the realms of organic fantasy and reality through his use of photography and mixed media.

He directly challenged the primacy of painting as art. His works is voluptuous and charnel; he is the master of capturing form and beauty with his portrait and figurative work.
