Sternbach is a visiting artist at Cooper Union and a faculty member at both the International Center for Photography and the Center for Alternative Photography. He commented about the work: “I had the pleasure of reviewing a stellar number of excellent photographs for this year’s competition. What we typically think of as ‘alternative processes’ now encompasses so many new techniques, concepts and materials, including digital, than ever before. The photography playing field is wide open and this year’s exhibition reveals the flexibility and range of the medium.”
