7 Days left by Shana Rossiter

Rossiter's work is inspired by the dichotomy of our desire to domesticate animals and the result of an oversupply. Within Australia there are around 450,000 dogs sold each year and of that 200,000 are euthanized. Even more startling is that a dog in the pound only has 7 days before being put down and 14 days if micro-chipped.  The unforeseen future for these dogs means that these images are the only record of their existence, a photo proves life.
