Last month, 516 Arts opened a summer long exhibition of a selection of "elemental photographs" from the Starn Brothers' Absorption of Light series. The large images in the show display the final seconds of a moth's life, in the moment that it is attracted to the source of its death: light. The work plays off of growing themes in the brother's work such as chaos and interdependence. The exhibition is part of the gallery's PhotoSummer 2016 initiative which shines the spotlight on photography in New Mexico. The show is curated by Teresa Buscem and will be on display at 516 Arts until September 17th.
