Sous Les Etoiles’ latest enchanting show is titled “Big Nothing,” a group show curated by British abstract photographer Richard Caldicott and featuring the work of photographers Nina Brauhauser, Ellen Carey, Luuk de Haan, Karl Martin Holzhäuser, Gottfried Jäger and Erin O’ Keefe.

This collection is an abstract window into alternative photographic process. These works centers on what makes all photography possible: light. The artists use techniques ranging from traditional darkroom practices to digital drawing to simply painting with light. These photographers are stripping the process back to basics in a complex way. The work demonstrates exactly how elastic this medium can be. Through a creative choice by the gallery, credit lines were withheld, making this body of work truly cohesive.

“Big Nothing” will be on display from at The Sous Les Etoiles Gallery from June 16th through August 19th. For more information see: www.souslesetoilesgallery.net/exhibitions/big-nothing
